However, I still think that one of the fun things to do in Las Vegas is shopping for souvenirs.
Souvenirs are in fact a great way to remember your trip!

Some of the best souvenirs can be cheap and range from t-shirts, keychains to fridge magnets and playing cards.

In this section we’ll discover the popular things you can buy in Las Vegas.
Those you can find almost everywhere you go.

T-Shirts and Hoodies 

Some of the most popular souvenirs to buy in Las Vegas are t-shirts and hoodies.

They often feature iconic Las Vegas symbols such as the famous “Welcome to Las Vegas” or “Welcome to Downtown Las Vegas” signs.

Or images of the city skyline, or references to popular casinos and hotels like the Bellagio or Caesars Palace.

Buying a Las Vegas t-shirt or a hoodie can be a fun way to remember your trip once you’re back home.

If you haven’t rented a car and you have to fly, just wear your new hoodie on the plane!
Not sure about you, but I always get so cold on planes!

Another bonus is that t-shirts can be cheap.
They also make for great gifts for friends and family.
So you can buy a number of them without breaking the bank!

Shot Glasses 

Whether you drink or not, there’s one thing you should take home from Vegas.

They are tiny and easy to pack.

Which is perfect, especially if you’re traveling with limited space.

A lot of people I know collect these small shot glasses.

You can start your own travel collection, or add to your best friend’s!

The Las Vegas shot glasses are usually adorned with iconic Las Vegas images.
Think of the skyline, the famous casinos, the Stratosphere tower and so on.

Some can be pretty racy: just choose whatever fits your style!

Poker Chips

Poker Chips are small discs, used as a token in poker or other casino games.

The expensive ones are made of clay or metal.
More often than not nowadays they are just plastic thingies.

From Downtown Las Vegas to the popular casinos on the Strip, every place we’ve been to sells its own poker chips.

They make great Las Vegas souvenirs, because they are tiny, easy to pack.
And they can be part of a unique travel collection.

Some people in fact like to collect casino chips, seeking out the rare ones from different places around the world.
You wouldn’t believe how much some of those are worth!

A great way to start is by going to the older casinos at Fremont Street.

The Golden Gate Hotel and Casino is the city’s first and oldest casino.
It dates back to 1906 and it continues to operate today!

Another very nice one is the Golden Nugget.
Which dates back to 1946: an institution in Vegas.

If you like the look of the vintage New Orleans poker chips, you’ll love the ones at the Golden Nugget.
You can also buy matching dice!

Note: some shops also sell sets of custom poker chips. They’re cool but they can be pretty expensive!

Fridge Magnets

Our fridge at home is completely covered in fridge magnets we collected on our trips.

We’re proud to say we have magnets from all the hotels on the Las Vegas Strip.
And beyond!

Magnets are tiny, super cheap and can be found basically anywhere.

If you look at some of the shops we have mentioned at the bottom of this article, you’re in for a surprise.

Just know I bought a tiny, stuffed monkey that is super soft and so cool.
It’s a fridge magnet, with the fun “Las Vegas monkey” sign.

Paid just a few dollars for it and yet it’s the first one our friends notice when they visit us.
The right souvenir if you want something cheap but unique!

Vegas Keychains

Keychains can make for great souvenirs, especially if you’re looking for a practical and affordable item to bring home from your trip to Las Vegas.

They’re something you can use every day to keep their keys organized.
Not just something you buy as part of a collection.
More like an affordable little gift that you can keep in your purse.

I still have a lovely keychain I bought as a souvenir from London.
On my very first trip with my mom and my sister!
It’s as good as new and I love it!

Keychains come in many different designs and styles.
Choose the one that best represents your experience in Las Vegas.
Or maybe one that showcases your favorite attraction or hotel!

Mugs

Some of you might already know that I own a huge collection of mugs.
I buy them everywhere I go and I also actually use them!
They’re not just for display.

I could never visit Las Vegas without buying a cute mug.
Or… more than one.

I’ll just let you know Aldo wasn’t super happy that one time we had to fly home with a suitcase full of fragile mugs!

Yes, you can fly with mugs in a checked luggage.
I do so all the time!

Postcards 

Postcards are, in my opinion, among the 10 best souvenirs from Las Vegas.
They’re small, they remind us of a special place and they’re super cheap.

You can buy one of the classic postcards with the “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign.
Or one that reminds you of the place where you hit the jackpot.

They’re perfect if you’re visiting on a budget because they’re possibly the cheapest souvenirs you can buy in Vegas.

If you want to make them unique, go to one of the post offices in Sin City and mail them!
You will have a Vegas stamp too!

From my experience I know that not everything you mail will get to your place.
Still waiting for the postcards I sent from our trip to Japan, by the way!

So make sure you mail a few of them to make sure you get at least one.

Sadly, postcards are now considered “vintage stuff“.
Not many shops sell them anymore, and it’s a shame!
Yet some of the ones we mentioned at the bottom of this article still have them.

Playing Cards

Whether you’re a fan of playing card games or just looking for a unique and practical souvenir to remember your trip, Las Vegas-themed playing cards can be a great choice.

In Naples one of our Christmas traditions is to spend some time with our family and friends playing cards.

Even though we tend to eat a lot. So sometimes we need a break between one yummy Christmas dish and the next one!

We always get to chat with our friends about Sin City and it always puts a smile on our face.

Silver Strike from the Four Queens Hotel and Casino

Silver strikes are limited edition silver tokens usually won from slot machines.

They can be bought and sold.
Often the owners like to keep them in protective plastic holders.

Yes, it really is silver, not like the epoxy blend chips you can find everywhere in Sin City!

The Four Queens Hotel and Casino is the most active property involved in the silver strike program.
There are a ton of silver strike slot machines across the gaming floor!

All the slot machines disburse $10 silver strike tokens.

Yet if you go to the one closest to the entrance (on the Golden Nugget site), you will see that it has $40 silver strikes.
They’re difficult to find!

Another popular casino in Vegas that offers silver strikes is the Plaza.
But there are more!

Carroll Shelby Motors Merchandising

Both me and Al are motorheads.
One of the things we do in Las Vegas during the day, whenever we can, is visiting the Carroll Shelby Museum.

You probably already know that Shelby Motors is a high-performance vehicle manufacturer which produces limited edition cars. 

Shelby Cobra Supersnake, Mustang and many more.
The good ol’ American muscle cars!

The Shelby Heritage Center in Nevada is free to visit and it’s so much fun!

By the exit you’ll find a very nice shop, selling souvenirs to bring home.

I mean t-shirts, caps, glasses and tons of collectibles with Carroll Shelby’s signature Cobra logo.

Not the usual “Welcome to Las Vegas” knick knacks, but something nicer and seen less often!

This kind of merchandising is perfect for auto enthusiasts.
Especially if they like muscle cars.

Themed Tote Bags

Maybe they’re not the best souvenirs in Las Vegas for a guy.
(Or maybe they’re perfect!)

Yet the themed tote bags are definitely among the underestimated kind of things people totally forget about.

Totes are useful, cheap and easy to bring back home.
Just fold them and they’ll fit even in the tiniest carry-on!

I absolutely love them because they help reduce plastic.
Keep a folded tote in your car and it’ll be your best friend.
Either for a quick stop at the grocery store, or at the farmer’s market.

The Sin City totes can be found in most of the shops we mentioned below.
So when you go get souvenirs for friends and family check them out.
You’ll use them a lot!

Mini “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” signs are small replicas of the iconic sign that greets visitors to the city.

They make great souvenirs for anyone wanting to remember their trip to Sin City.

You can also use them as decorative items in gift baskets full of Las Vegas stuff.

I’ve seen tableware with images from the most successful shows in Las Vegas.
Or the Bellagio fountains. The gorgeous gondolas at The Venetian.
There’s something for everyone!

Tableware is relatively inexpensive and can also be a nice present from your Sin City weekend.

I bought some for me and for my mum who has never been to Vegas.
She loved it!

Vegas Dice

Some of our friends collect role playing dice.
Whenever we go to Lucca Comics and Games they buy a ton, especially the handmade ones.

On one of our latest trips we realized that Las Vegas is one of the best places to buy dice.

And Nevada is the one of the few states in the US we’ve been to that actually sells so many different designs.

Dice is sold almost everywhere.
In all shapes and sizes.

This is when I have to confess I bought a set of huge stuffed dice.
Shocking pink. Much to Aldo’s horror.

It was a car ornament, I guess, but people here looked at us so weirdly that I decided to keep it in my studio at home.

If you love unique and quirky souvenirs, or if you have friends with a sense of humor, get them stuffed dice!

Us included.

While the usual options like t-shirts, mugs, or keychains are always available, it can be worth investing a bit more in a unique and personalized item.

Sometimes we feel like splurging.
Especially if we have planned this trip to Sin City to celebrate a special occasion.

Let me offer a few ideas!

Yet this isn’t the only reason why you should go there.
Ethel M Chocolate Factory makes customized candy and chocolate.
The perfect souvenir, if you ask me!

You can add a logo, or custom chocolate boxes, or even ask them to write a personalized message on a chocolate bar.

The end result is a tasty and memorable souvenir from Las Vegas that everyone will love.

Let me offer something else that might convince you to add Ethel M Chocolate Factory to your list of Las Vegas attractions you should visit.

This amazing factory has a huge cactus garden that visitors can explore for free.
It features over 300 species of cactus and desert plants.
The perfect background also for a unique insta-session!

One-of-a-kind memorabilia at The Mob Museum 

The Mob Museum, also known as the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement, is located in Downtown Las Vegas.
In a former Post Office and Courthouse, built in 1933.

It’s dedicated to exploring the history of organized crime in the United States and the efforts of law enforcement to combat it.

At the Mob Museum you will be able to see a variety of exhibits, artifacts, and interactive displays.
All about the story of organized crime in the US.

Before the exit, there is a super interesting gift shop.
Selling a variety of memorabilia: unique souvenirs of a different way to spend some time in Vegas.
One that has nothing to do with the green table.

Among the interesting souvenirs we found collectibles like shot glasses, keychains and magnets dedicated to the famous gangsters. Think of Al Capone or John Gotti.

There are also t-shirts, hats, hoodies and more clothing items, all with the Mob Museum logo and themed designs!

Saguaro Cactus

If you planned to drive to Sin City and you don’t need to board a plane to get back home, I have a unique souvenir idea for you.

Vegas is located in the Mojave Desert, notoriously home to a series of cacti.
Well, one of the best souvenirs you can buy is a Saguaro Cactus!

Several gift shops in Las Vegas sell them.
Together with cactus-themed t-shirts, magnets and others.

While some cactus species are protected by law and cannot be legally harvested or transported, you can buy a Saguaro.

Get a small one to take home with you.
They are slow to grow. And they can live up to 150 years!

Also, as a bonus they require relatively little attention.
If you’re one of those people who forget to water the plants, get a Saguaro.
They live perfectly well with little water!

Note: please make sure you do not steal a cactus from the desert.
Legally buy one in an authorized shop. And also check if you can import it where you live! There are laws protecting this kind of cacti in Arizona, California and Mexico.

Local Wine and Spirits

Not many people know that Nevada has a growing wine industry.
Several wineries are located in and around Las Vegas.

During the day, if you do not feel like spending some time by the pool, you can visit a distillery.

Las Vegas Distillery and Seven Troughs Distilling Co. are among the ones that offer tours and tastings.

If you prefer a Cabernet Sauvignon tasting, try the Pahrump Valley Winery or the Vegas Valley Winery.

As you might know already, Aldo is a fan of the classic Italian wines.

He was super curious to see a winery in the middle of the desert, so we visited the Pahrump Valley Winery.
It was so much fun!

So please let me suggest you add a winery or distillery tour to your list of things to do in Vegas.

Many wineries offer tastings, and the chance to eat at their restaurant.
This is also a super romantic couple activity.

We had lunch at the Symphony’s Restaurant at Pahrump Valley Winery.
Super romantic and we loved every dish!

Native American Jewelry and Crafts

Those who have been reading this blog for a while might know I’m a huge fan of US history and Native American history.

In Nevada there are 20 federally-recognized Native American Tribes, in 27 separate reservations, bands, colonies and community councils.

While a ton of shops in Vegas sell replicas, I encourage you to buy original crafts from actual Native designers.

This is a way to appreciate and support Native culture, without being culturally inappropriate.

But how can you tell if the turquoise stone jewelry is authentic?
This is something we discussed with a longtime friend from the Cree tribe.

He told me that a genuine piece usually doesn’t have well-cut stones that are uniform in size. Nor lopsided designs.
And definitely no visible glue between the metal and the stone.

The stuff we bought, from dreamcatchers (which I absolutely love, by the way) to jewelry, both in Vegas and at the Grand Canyon, always had a small certificate.

The tag states info about the Native artist who created each object and is a written verification of authenticity.

While this kind of jewelry is a bit more expensive than the tacky replicas, the difference is stunning.

Authentic Native American jewelry is gorgeous: it makes for a unique gift for someone special.

Many reputable stores and galleries in Las Vegas work with talented Native artists.
That’s where you should be shopping!

There’s usually a ton of turquoise jewelry to choose.
Usually paired with a lot of silver and leather.

Jean Philippe Patisserie Chocolate

Jean Philippe Patisserie is a world-renowned pastry and chocolate shop located in Las Vegas.
Founded by the French pastry chef Jean-Philippe Maury.

The shop features a wide variety of pastries, chocolates, cakes, and other sweet treats, all made with high-quality ingredients and exquisite attention to detail.

The chocolates, in particular, are a highlight of the shop and are crafted with precision and artistry.

Guess what?
They make for amazing souvenirs!

Jean Philippe Patisserie chocolates include sculptures made with chocolate.

At the shop you will be able to see a huge chocolate fountain that holds over 2,100 pounds of chocolate!
While it’d be an amazing souvenir, I’m thinking it’d be a bit… Difficult to bring it home.

Yet you can buy pastel-colored macarons.
Salted caramel macarons were my favorite!

Chocolate bars are also a very nice gift.
They include a variety of flavors and different kinds of chocolate.

Custom tailored Elvis Jumpsuit

Way before the Baz Luhrmann movie, there was so much about Elvis in Las Vegas.
Elvis held his Vegas residency for seven years.
Up to his last show on December 12, 1976.

The King’s legacy is alive and kicking in Sin City.
Not just thanks to the impersonators or the themed wedding chapels.

You can attend themed shows and also exhibits to see a bit of Elvis, also so far away from Graceland.

The fans can buy a custom tailored Elvis jumpsuit as a unique souvenir from Las Vegas. Many shops also rent them for themed parties or Halloween parties.
… or for your themed wedding, if you like!

Did you know you can get married in a pink Cadillac, with an Elvis impersonator officiating the wedding?

If you need something to match the Elvis jumpsuit, you should definitely shop for showgirl costumes in Sin City!

Known worldwide for their glam and elaborate costumes, the iconic Las Vegas showgirls are part of the city’s entertainment scene.

They usually perform in large-scale productions, wearing amazing costumes.
Bright and made from sequins, feathers, rhinestones and glitter.

Many also include elaborate headpieces that match the materials used for the costume itself.

You can now treat yourself to a custom tailored showgirl costume.
The stuff from your wildest dreams!

Some shops also sell absolutely gorgeous swimsuits that are inspired by the Las Vegas showgirls.

I’ve personally seen bikinis made with feathers, sequins or leather.

While they aren’t exactly comfortable to wear for a day spent by the pool, they’re perfect for a photo session or a special event!

Blue Man Drumsticks

The Blue Man Group is a popular performance art troupe that originated in New York City and now has a residency in Las Vegas.

Their signature look?
Actually, they’re entirely painted in blue!

The Blue Man Group show in Las Vegas features a variety of percussion instruments, including drums, pipes, and other unconventional objects.
Like kitchen utensils!

Their performances are known for their high-energy and entertaining nature.
If you’re going, know it will be a wild, fun night.
They’re famous because they engage a lot with the public!

If you’re a fan (you will be, after attending their show), know you can buy the Blue Man Group drumsticks as a souvenir!
They’re the exact replicas of the ones used during the show.

Other – more conventional – gifts you can buy are t-shirts, hats and magnets.

Custom Coca Cola Bottles

Missing the huge Coca Cola bottle on the Strip is absolutely impossible.

If it’s your first time in Vegas I absolutely encourage you to visit the iconic Sin City store.

Several floors filled with Coca Cola memorabilia, super rare gems and the chance to buy a special tasting.
Which includes many of the most popular Coca Cola flavors in the US.

Once you’re there, if you want something a bit more special than the “usual” souvenir, you can purchase customized bottles!

Just choose a custom phrase or a name.
It doesn’t take long to have your custom Coca Cola bottle.

The best thing is that you can have it shipped at home. So you won’t have to carry it in your checked luggage!

Personalized M&M’s

Next to the Coca Cola Store on the Las Vegas Strip, there’s the super colorful M&M’s World.

The store is one of the very few physical locations where you can get your personalized M&M’s.
Usually people order them online!

Custom M&M’s are a cute gift.
Perfect also if you decided to elope in Vegas and you want to bring home a special present for the family.

Just pick your favorite color and flavor, then a special message. Or even your face!

An automated machine, the Personalized Printer, will prepare the order for you.

Sometimes there’s a long line to get custom M&M’s.
The best time to go is in the morning, as soon as the M&M World opens.

Get them done and then enjoy the rest of the day relaxing by the pool!

Cost of Vegas Souvenirs

The amount you can expect to budget for Las Vegas souvenirs can vary widely.
It really depends on what type of souvenirs you are interested in.
And where you decide to buy.

Small items as keychains, magnets, and postcards can typically be found for under $10.
T-shirts and hats are often priced between $15 and $30.

High-end souvenirs like showgirl costumes or Native American crafts are much more expensive.
They can range from several hundred to several thousand dollars.

Same goes with most of the customized souvenirs.

Food and drink items such as chocolates, wine, or spirits can vary widely in price depending on the brand and quality.

You wouldn’t believe how much prices can vary, depending on the store you go to!

Let me offer a few useful tips to help you shop for souvenirs in Las Vegas!

First things first, absolutely shop around and compare prices.
Like, it’s super important!

We always check several stores before we make a purchase.

While some friends from the US told me that many vendors in Vegas are open to negotiating on prices, we never tried.
If you’re good at it, give it a try!

Another tip I have is that you should buy souvenirs right before the end of your trip.
It’ll be easier – especially if you buy stuff like chocolate that can melt.

Also you have been in Vegas for a while, so you’ve likely noticed special deals.
Or found coupons.
That will save you a lot!

Where to buy Las Vegas Souvenirs

There are many places in Las Vegas where you can buy souvenirs.

Let me offer a few tips about the ones we personally tried, that hopefully can be of help for your next trip!

Bonanza Gift Shop

Located on the north end of the Strip, between the (ex) Sahara and the Stratosphere.

It’s impossible not to notice this absolutely huge store.
Self proclaimed the “World’s Largest Gift Shop“.

It features over 40,000 square feet of shopping space and sells a wide range of souvenirs, including Las Vegas t-shirts, mugs, and shot glasses.

Prices are medium-low, and you’ll be able to find a ton of inexpensive gifts for your co-workers or friends.

Don’t expect to find high-end or customized souvenirs!

Fremont Street

Known for the Fremont Street Experience, this amazing part of Las Vegas is full of things to discover.

Prices here are way less expensive than the Strip.
Same items too. It’s just way cheaper!

At Fremont Street there’s souvenir shops, gift stores, and street vendors selling a variety of Las Vegas-themed merchandise.

You’ll also find many of the “old time” casinos and hotels where you can find some of the unique souvenirs I mentioned above.

Not many people know that at Fremont Street you can find possibly the cheapest souvenirs in Las Vegas.
At the .99 stores!

ABC Stores and Miracle Mile Shops

I put these two together because you’ll find ABC in there.

The Miracle Mile Shops are located on Las Vegas Blvd, within walking distance from the M&M’s Las Vegas and the Coca Cola store.
It’s part of the Planet Hollywood Resort.

There are over 150 stores, outlets, restaurants and live entertainment venues.

It’s a good place to go for souvenirs if you don’t have a car, because you can just walk there from the main hotels on the Strip!

CVS / Walgreens / Target

So many locations in Las Vegas, both on the Strip and Downtown.

Definitely too many to list them all here!

Just walk around and you’re bound to find one of these stores.

From our experience, they have a good selection of gifts and souvenirs, at fair prices.

The Strip

There are a ton of shops on the Strip.
Yet they are all super expensive.

You can buy the same stuff, for much less, at Fremont Street.

So my suggestion is to purchase here only the unique Las Vegas souvenirs specifically related to some of the big hotels.
Like the Bellagio.

Anything else can be bought for less, elsewhere!

Stores where you can buy authentic Native jewelry

• Santa Fe Trails: inside the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian

• Kemo Sabe: at the Forum Shops inside the Caesars Palace

• Cowboy Christmas: a Las Vegas Christmas tradition since 1986! It’s the only official gift show of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. You’ll find unique products and Native crafts. Make sure to go to the Las Vegas Convention Center if you’re visiting from December 7 to December 16, 2024.
